Moxtek Offers Absorptive Polarizers for Red, Blue, Green Channels

Moxtek^®, Inc. the launch of General Performance and High Performance absorptive wire-grid polarizers for the blue, green, and red channels. The absorptive polarizers are designed for narrow band applications and where back reflection is a concern.

These new polarizers are designed to transmit the p-polarization and absorb the s-polarization of incident light, rather than reflecting the unwanted light away from the polarizer.

Moxtek’s absorptive wire-grid polarizer has the same pure polarization, and very high durability as their standard reflective wire-grid polarizers, but eliminates the need to control the rejected polarization if it is not used in the system. This is an advantage for LCD projection systems because the reflected image is not redirected back through the light engine, creating ghost images and premature aging of the LCD panel.
