Visible Polarizers

The first wire-grid polarizers were developed for the visible region. The PPL Series polarizers are used in applications across many markets and in various industries.Widely used in projection display systems,these polarizers are manufactured on a 200mm diameter wafer, allowing a wide variety of sizes to be cut to meet design requirements.

Our ProFlux^® Ultra PFU Series polarizers have the same transmission performance specifications as the PPL polarizers. The difference is a much higher Contrast Ratio (Tp/Ts) than the PPL polarizers.

Moxtek‘s Absorptive polarizers are wavelength specific in the Visible spectrum for the Red, Blue and Green channels. These new polarizers are designed to transmit the p-polarization and absorb the s-polarization of incident light, rather than reflecting the unwanted light away from the polarizer. The absorptive wire-grid polarizer has the same pure polarization, and very high durability as their standard reflective wire-grid polarizers, but eliminates the need to control the rejected polarization if it is not used in the system. Both High Performance and General Performance polarizers are available.
