UV/IR Polarizers

The UV-IR wire-grid polarizers are useful for broadband, ultra-violet, and infrared applications.

The Ultra Broadband (UBB) polarizer is usable at any wavelength from 300nm to beyond 4µm. Because of its ability to cover such an extensive wavelength range, the Ultra Broadband polarizer is also ideal for applications where only one polarizer is preferred, without the need of switching or rotating between two or more polarizers.

The Infrared (BIR) Series polarizers are designed for use in the Infrared wavelengths starting at 700nm to 3.3µm. As the wavelength increases, so does the performance of the polarizer. Moxtek can extend the range of the BIR series polarizers to 4.5µm using special fused silica low OH glass. For NIR applications (3- 8µm) Moxtek uses the PoFlux^®technology on a silicon substrate. The UVT and UVC Series ProFlux Nanowire Ultraviolet polarizers offer excellent solutions for UV and DUV applications. High transmission and high contrast choices re available. The high transmission products are indicated by UVT and the high contrast products are indicated by UVC. Durability is equivalent to our standard visible spectrum products recognized for their high durability in hot and environmentally difficult applications.

The UVT and UVC series are naturally capable of broadband applications in the NIR spectral range to 4µm.
