Absorptive Polarizers The Absorptive polarizers are channel specific for the Red, Blue, and Green channels. There are two types of Absorptive polarizers, the General Performance and High Performance absorptive polarizers. These polarizers are designed to transmit the p-polarization and absorb the s-polarization of incident light, rather than reflecting the unwanted light away from the polarizer. High Performance polarizers are for applications where performance is critical to the application. Options range between Transmission, Contrast, and Balanced polarizers for the Blue and Green channels. The Red channel only has a balanced absorptive polarizer. The General Performance polarizers are for applications with the need to absorb instead of reflect light, and do not need the High Performance specifications. There is only one type of polarizer for the Red, Green, and Blue color channels.
